Staff

Stacey has worked in the non-profit sector for over seventeen years, across social and environmental causes. In recent years, she has focused her work on connecting philanthropic funding to critical environmental projects, and has worked closely with communities in Arnhem Land (in a paid and pro-bono capacity) for over ten years. Prior to joining the Karrkad Kanjdji Trust, Stacey worked for organisations including Bush Heritage Australia, the Climate Change Adaptation Program (RMIT), Oxfam Australia, and was the Co-Founder and CEO of Creative Spark International. Stacey has an undergraduate degree in International Development, a Master of International Urban and Environmental Management and is undertaking a Master of Aboriginal Studies.

Peter is a finance and corporate governance and administration professional with extensive experience across a range of industries and organisations. He has worked passionately in the non-profit, conservation and sustainability sectors for over ten years. Peter holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree, a Graduate Diploma in Company Secretarial Practice and is a Chartered Accountant.

With over two decades of experience in fundraising, stewardship and customer relations, Sharney is a passionate lifetime fundraiser dedicated to creating meaningful connections and fostering long-term donor engagement. She brings strong expertise in managing high-value donor portfolios and driving innovative fundraising strategies. Known for her strengths in relationship building, team leadership, and process improvement, Sharney consistently boosts revenue, efficiency, and donor retention. Committed to continuous professional growth and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the not-for-profit sector, Sharney strives to make a lasting impact in both the organisations she supports and the communities they serve.

Maddi brings over a decade of experience in supporting First Nations organisations, innovative social enterprises, and community development initiatives to achieve their self-determined goals. Her expertise includes program design and management, impact evaluation, governance innovation and securing funding for scalable impact. Academically, she has a background in public health / community and international development, and she is currently pursuing an MBA (Social Impact) through the University of New South Wales.

Rebecca comes to KKT with over a decade of experience in supporting not-for-profits to share their story and realise their ambitions through philanthropy, creative partnerships and communications. Prior to joining the team, Rebecca worked alongside remote First Nations communities at organisations such as Children’s Ground and Agency Projects. Committed to supporting the world's oldest living culture, with a strong focus and passion for supporting self determination and unlocking the power of philanthropy to generate better outcomes for Country and culture.

Alex came to the Karrkad Kanjdji Trust from a local government and farming sustainability background and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Management. Alex hails from New Zealand, where, prior to relocating to Australia in 2022, he delivered sustainability and pollution prevention projects aimed at bringing together different stakeholders to protect the unique ecosystems of the South Island. Alex's previous roles include fieldwork with the Conservation Department and volunteering in land management with non-profit organisations.

Georgie has experience in grant writing, complex funding proposals and digital communications. She is passionate about clear, accessible storytelling that shares change and impact. In all of her work, she strives to practice effective and ongoing solidarity with First Nations peoples. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Indigenous Studies, and a Master of Writing and Publishing.

Danielle (Dani) comes to KKT with a wealth of experience as an executive support professional. Hosting a strong background in the not-for-profit sector, Dani is experienced in high-level administration, governance, and financial support, coupled with a strong commitment to champion self-determination. Her work and efforts are driven by a heartfelt passion to promote positive social change and support First Nations-led solutions to the climate emergency.

Lucy comes to KKT with a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences and over three years of experience in administration and communications support. With a budding background in stakeholder relationships and a deep passion for sustainability and conservation, Lucy is a dedicated team member who blends her passion and work ethics to bring strong coordination, operational support, and communication skills to support KKT’s efforts.
